As a teacher, I want my students to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to be able to effectively contribute to society. Through education, students can learn more about their uniqueness, interests, and how they can contribute to society. Furthermore, I believe that all children should have access to quality education as they grow and develop because every child is great, and has the potential to be something greater in this world.
I believe that a teacher can have several different roles. As a teacher, I believe that it is important to prepare my students for the next stage of their lives and the rest of their lives by ensuring that I assist my students in reaching their full potential. I also believe that as a teacher, my role is to support my students not only academically or while they are my students, but both emotionally and mentally, as well as after they have moved on from my classroom. In addition to those roles, it is my responsibility to help my students learn more about who they are and how they learn and express who they are and how they learn. In addition, a future teacher can prepare for these roles by gaining experience working with students; researching various learning and teaching methods; and exploring ways to support students academically, mentally, and emotionally.
The student’s role is to be curious, explorative, willing to take risks, open-minded, persevering, and more. These will allow the student to not only reach their full potential, but also learn their capabilities, have a better understanding of who they are, and work towards who they want to become.
Students are both similar and different in many ways. All students are capable of learning, are eager to learn, struggle in some way or at some point in time, need a safe environment, and require love and support. While students are similar, students are also different in ways like their home life, cultural background, and more. Apart from this, their similarities can also differ such as how they learn, what they struggle with, their safe environment(s), and how much love and support they receive from family.
A classroom environment should be welcoming, safe, and comfortable, but also fun and engaging. In addition, the classroom atmosphere, such as decorations, should not be overwhelming or mundane. Furthermore, a classroom should include hands-on activities, movement, technology, flexible seating, and opportunities for students to stimulate their minds as well as allowing their curiosity to guide their learning.
