This blog includes the lessons that I wrote for the micro-teaches that I conducted during the semester before student teaching begins.
For micro-teaches, we create a lesson for reading, social studies, and science, all based on our assigned grade and lesson topic. We participate in two micro-teaches during the semester. The lesson plans for each subject may vary depending on what the instructor asked for. Additionally, we cannot know personal information about our students for legal reasons, and therefore, we had to create student needs and how we would differentiate for those. The purpose of the micro-teaches is for us to practice writing lesson plans and reflecting on how well they played out before we begin student teaching. Therefore, we do not get assessed on the teaching itself because that occurs when student teaching.
